When I first saw this figure’s release, I was very skeptical about its color choices. I’m so glad I gave it a chance, because seeing it in person made me realize how wrong my first initial impression was. The color scheme manages to look natural, yet as expected stands out wonderfully on my display. The browns and whites contrast extremely well with the brighter green, and the chosen patterning on the crest is just plain cool.
While I suspect it’s a coincidence, since the colors aren’t actually similar, I like that it could be seen as a subtle homage to the Chasmosaurus from the Jurassic Park: Dinosaurs 1 line. The collector card is, once again, a real treat for the eyes, depicting an individual casually watching some nearby turtles doing the same to it.
