Hi, I preordered the Cryolophosaurus ellioti. After receiving the figure. The paint job is phenomenal. The articulation is amazing, the poses you can make with Cryolophosaurus is awesome. I would highly recommend Cryolophosaurus ellioti to any collector or beginner collector. As Cryolophosaurus was my first Creative Beast Studios figure. Cryolophosaurus will be stand out figure To any collection.

Holy crap, when I say this thing is my favorite figure in the BOTM line so far it couldn’t be any closer to the absolute truth! Maybe I’m a tad bit biased since cryolophosaurus is one of my favorite dinosaurus, but it is absolutely brilliant. The color scheme by itself is really striking and I love how the white mixed with greys, blacks, and light tans with the pink underbelly just stands out against the average greens and browns that are on my shelf currently. Its like a beacon of sorts that just draws your eyes to it and I love how it looks like he’s wearing eye liner or mascara as well as the contrasting blue on the face. The sculpting is AMAZING! The feathers look so well done and it fades into the underbelly so perfectly. And back to the face, something about it is just so appealing to look at. The figure is so lanky and snake-like and I am all for it. I will say though, the part of the body where the legs attach is VERY thin. Only a bit thinner than from the tip of my pinky nail to the base of it and it inhibits the amount that the hips can flex outwards quite a lot. Due to it being so skinny it curves down and back up around the thigh which limits how much the leg can bend forward and backward without rubbing awkwardly against the body. That’s the only issue I have with this figure and its a very, very minor issue in my eyes. Everything about this toy just comes together so well, especially the optional floater piece of extra plumage or fluff around the shoulders and base of the neck that I didn’t even know was included. I could not recommend the cryo to a collector enough. The price is affordable, its perfectly sized to display on a desk, and the details are just immaculate. Easy S tier figure for me!!!

Of all the creatures I’ve purchased from Creative Beasts so far, this may be my favourite in terms of the creativity in its colourscheme. The range of pinks, purples, and oranges used for the skin are incredible, and the additional purples and red used for the crest are the icing on the cake.

The textures and shades of the feathering are on par with that of the rest of the body as well… except for one minor issue. On my figure, the white doesn’t extend fully over one of torso pieces where the two join, meaning that if the waist is bent too far it reveals a dark line that breaks up the colourscheme. It’s not noticeable from most angles, but could be annoying if the dino is displayed in such a way that it’s visible from multiple angles.
