Centrosaurus apertus (juvenile)- 1/18th scale Dinosaur Action Figure
(pointed lizard)
Centrosaurus was a herd animal, as is evidenced by the vast bone beds that have been found. Because of this, it is one of the most-researched dinosaurs, and is also one of the few Ceratopsian species with fossilized skin impressions. This ceratopsian figure measures 10 in. long and has 19 points of articulation. Includes collectible trading card, unique background display insert and instruction sheet. Packaging features red-foil printing with package art by Raul Ramos.
Recommended for ages 15 and up.

A perfect stand-alone or compliment to the adult centrosaurus. This juvenile on its own is amazing looking. Very natural coloration and patterns. A unique horn shape makes it stand out with that long nose horn and if you have it next to the adult version it gives you an instant diorama!
Articulation works as well as any other in this scale. The best feature on this one (to me) is its natural colors and patterning.

This juvenile Centrosaurus apertus quickly became a must have once I added the adult figure to my collection. At 1/18th scale it shares the same overall size as the Avaceratops, making it a natural fit among the smaller ceratopsians. The colorway is especially appreciated, as it allows this juvenile to stand apart from the adult and maintain its own visual identity. Collectors who enjoy earthy, grounded tones will find a lot to love here.
I do have two minor complaints. The first is that my copy arrived with a few missing paint spots along the back and sides, with the most noticeable flaw being a section of unpainted lower beak. Fortunately, these imperfections seem easy enough to correct with a bit of burnt umber and a sealant, and this company rarely has quality control issues in my experience. My second complaint concerns the included collector card. While the artwork is excellent, the card itself is an unconventional four inches tall, a quirk of these earlier releases that I am glad has been resolved in more recent figures.
Despite these small issues, the juvenile Centrosaurus apertus remains a charming and worthwhile addition to the BOTM line, especially for collectors who enjoy pairing adult and juvenile counterparts.
