Super impressed with this one. The photos really undersell the color complexity in the white portions of the body and the articulation is a very substantial improvement from the vers. 1.0 release in the neck and ankles.

This figure absolutely lives up to its name as the Beautiful Feathered Tyrant. The sculpt is immaculate even down the tinniest scales along the face. The figure is decently stable, even without the aid of the display stand (although its inclusion is very much appreciated) and its choice of coloration inspired by a Stellar’s Sea Eagle gives it a very naturalistic appearance. I missed out on getting the original figure but I’m very happy to finally have the chance to get this new and improved one as my very first BotM figure! Here’s hoping I can snag the its Cyberzoic cousin so that they may share a spot on my shelf in the near future!

I already had the Cyberzoic Yutyrannus in my collection, and liked it so much I decided to buy its counterpart. As much as I love the other dramatic blues and blacks of the other version’s colourscheme, this pattern feels much more appropriate for a snowbound species. The brown and white feel very grounded and realistic, while the yellow/orange skin and bright green eyes add a welcome splash of contrast.
As always, the detail and articulation are excellent. When it releases I think I’ll be putting the Ice Stalker armour on this one, rather than the Cyberzoic version, as the white and oranges used here seem like they’ll go nicely with the Tech Clan aesthetic.
