Beasts of the Mesozoic Ceratosaurus: The Ultimate Horned Dinosaur Figure Is Here
The Beasts of the Mesozoic Ceratosaurus dentisulcatus action figure takes the spotlight in Creative Beast Studio’s latest video, “The Ultimate CERATOSAURUS is finally here!!” Part of the new Acro wave, this striking dinosaur combines detailed sculpting, bold colors, and extensive articulation for a wide range of display poses.
From its distinctive horns to its textured scales and flexible tail, the figure gives dinosaur collectors plenty to explore. The video walks through the unboxing, accessories, design, and articulation before showing Ceratosaurus in action.
Detailed Sculpting from Head to Tail
The Ceratosaurus figure features prominent head crests, raised scales, and a row of spikes running along its back and tail. These details continue across the articulated sections, helping the sculpt maintain a consistent appearance as collectors change its pose.
The video highlights how the figure’s markings connect across the head, neck, and torso. That continuity helps preserve the overall design whether Ceratosaurus is standing upright, lowering its head, or turning into a more dramatic stance.
Colors Inspired by the Pink-Bellied Swift
The figure’s color scheme draws inspiration from the pink-bellied swift lizard, combining intricate patterns with reddish tones along the body and blue accents on the face.
The video explains that David Silva added the facial blue hues after the original color concept. Those accents give the head extra visual impact and complement the warmer colors elsewhere on the figure.
Together with the dorsal spikes and horned silhouette, the paint design creates the imposing, almost dragon-like appearance celebrated throughout the review.
Articulation Built for Dynamic Dinosaur Poses
One of the biggest highlights of the Beasts of the Mesozoic Ceratosaurus is its range of movement. The head and neck allow deep downward poses, while the articulated jaw and tongue offer additional expression.
Movement through the torso, arms, hips, knees, and ankles gives collectors options for standing, stalking, and action displays. The tail combines multiple articulated sections with a bendable wire, allowing adjustments that complement the rest of the pose.
Interchangeable feet provide flat, stepping, and lifted positions, making it easier to create a convincing sense of movement.
Display Accessories and a ZOIC TCG Collector Card
The Ceratosaurus includes a display stand and a base extender that creates a wider support area. While the video demonstrates the figure standing independently, the stand offers extra support for more ambitious poses.
The packaging artwork can also serve as a display backdrop. An included collector card features dinosaur information and artwork, and it can be used as a token card in the ZOIC Trading Card Game.
