Avaceratops lammersi 1/18th scale Dinosaur Action Figure
(Ava’s horned face)
Avaceratops is a bit of a curiosity due to its skull frill lacking fenestrae. It had a solid frill, a characteristic shared only with Triceratops. Despite this similarity, its closest known relative is Nasutoceratops. Avaceratops lived in wet, heavily forested environments. This ceratopsian figure measures 10 in. long and has 19 points of articulation. Includes collectible trading card, unique background display insert and instruction sheet. Packaging features red-foil printing with package art by Raul Ramos.
Recommended for ages 15 and up.

The Avaceratops just might be one of the most underappreciated ceratopsians in this collection, and in general. This is a shame because It’s so darn beautiful!
I admit, I only got this model because I wanted to start my collection, with ceratopsians I recognized from a game I play, called the Isle. I most certainly do not regret my choice.
I am first surprised to see how big the Ava actually is (Same size as a Diablo), it’s depicted a lot smaller in the Isle. I’m also surprised with how beautifully colored it is. Maybe I’m color blind, but it looks a lot prettier in person than it does in the website’s photos, you can hardly even see the blue on the website.
The articulation is amazing, the model is solid and hardy, the level of detail is incredible, the colors are not only beautiful, but make the ava look more gentle and majestic, compared to the hot colors that make many of the other creatures look more aggressive.
I give this a 4/5 because of some visible seams on the horns and head, every other factor is near prefect.
I also accidently popped the head off a couple of times while testing it’s articulation, it did me quite a fright, but it popped back on pretty easily and it hasn’t happened again.

The Avaceratops wasn’t one that I was super interested in but I wanted a smaller Ceratopsian and this one is a sleeper for sure! I love it! Such a fun lil dino so much in fact I have another one on the way now… don’t skip out on this one.

Much like my newly acquired Wendiceratops, this Avaceratops lammersi is absolutely stunning in person. The promotional photos simply do not do it justice. Inspired by the coloration of Draco volans, the Common flying dragon, this figure carries over the same intricate patterning and natural beauty seen in the real lizard. The detailing in the colors is gorgeous, and the blue eyes are especially striking. The horn coloration is another highlight, adding depth and personality to an already impressive sculpt.
Having more obscure ceratopsian species represented in the BOTM line is always welcome, and this figure is an excellent example of why. It is a beautifully executed piece that I cannot recommend highly enough.
The included collector card is equally impressive, depicting an individual expertly camouflaged within its territory. It adds a thoughtful visual narrative that complements the figure perfectly.
This Avaceratops lammersi is a standout addition to any collection, offering both scientific charm and artistic excellence.

Beautiful little Ceratopsian! The vibrant greens are very eye catching. Articulation as always is fantastic!
