First look today at the unpainted resin prototype for the 1/18 Beasts of the Mesozoic Guanlong action figure! Molding and casting was done by Jeremy Monz. Guanlong understructure by Raul Ramos.

Paint samples for the wave 3 Beasts of the Mesozoic Ceratopsians are nearing completion. The first two samples- adult Triceratops and Torosaurus are on their way to me now. Today we get a good look at the 1/35th scale Beasts of the Mesozoic Tyrannosaurus rex resin prototype! I’ve also included some shots with the 1/18th sub-adult Triceratops (which substitutes well for an adult at this scale) and with a couple of 1/35th scale humans. Sculpting was by Jake Baardse, with part separation and printing…

The Beasts of the Mesozoic: Ceratopsian Series wave 3 pre production is well underway and with larger bodies come larger box sizes. Here are some recent packaging mock ups from the factory for the new figures- Pentaceratops even gets its own unique box size due to its giant frill!
