The wait is almost over for collectors of Beasts of the Mesozoic dinosaur figures! The final color reveal for the latest Rex Wave has arrived, along with a first look at the finished packaging, new Acrocanthosaurus merchandise, and several important updates on the future of Cyberzoic.
The latest showcase gives collectors a behind-the-scenes look at the finished figures, packaging artwork, and production progress. From a brand-new blue T. rex to stunning pearlescent paint applications, this wave is shaping up to be an impressive addition to the Beasts of the Mesozoic collection.
The Final Rex Wave Color Reveal Is Here
One of the biggest highlights of the showcase is the final color reveal of the Rex Wave.
After showing off the finished figures, the team revealed the final T. rex color scheme, joking that Gorgosaurus had previously held the title of the “blue T. rex.” That’s officially changing with this new release.
The final blue T. rex features a striking color palette that really stands out in person. The team also highlighted the paint applications and color combinations across the wave, with several of the figures featuring colors that appear especially vibrant under the lighting.
The Rex Wave has clearly gone through a substantial amount of development to arrive at these final designs, and seeing the completed colors alongside the finished packaging gives collectors a much better idea of what the final products will look like.
Finished Packaging Brings the Figures to Life
The showcase also revealed actual package samples for the new figures.
The packaging features detailed artwork and descriptions while giving collectors a look at other figures available within the line. One of the most noticeable elements is the artwork on the backs of the boxes, which helps establish the visual identity of the entire collection.
The team also showed how some of the figures interact with their packaging artwork, with the backgrounds making the dinosaurs really pop.

New Acrocanthosaurus Merchandise Is Available
There’s also some new dinosaur merchandise to check out.
Acrocanthosaurus merchandise has officially been added to the store, with new designs available across different merchandise categories.
The merch store has also been reorganized to make browsing easier. Collectors can now navigate different categories for items such as shirts, mugs, and other merchandise.
One important note for fans: the team explained that merchandise will increasingly be limited and cycled out over time. Rather than keeping every design available permanently, older designs will eventually be replaced with new merchandise.
That means collectors who see something they really like may not want to wait forever to pick it up.

Another major highlight from the showcase was seeing the finished colors in person.

Cyberzoic Production Update
The showcase wasn’t only about the Rex Wave. There was also an important production update for Cyberzoic.
Production had originally been expected to wrap up around this time, with the next step being freight and shipment to the U.S. warehouse. However, factory samples revealed several areas that needed additional correction and improvement.
Rather than rushing the products out, the team is taking additional time to address those issues.
This includes improvements to the game’s printed materials, colors, and paper quality.
The team showed several production samples, including the game’s binder, sample cards, cardboard game counters, and other components. The binder in particular was described as exceeding expectations for its overall quality.
The cardboard game counters were also shown as uncut samples. These will eventually become punch-out counters used during gameplay.
Cyberzoic Two-Player Starter Set
Another exciting piece of the Cyberzoic update was the two-player starter set.
A sample box was shown during the showcase, including the newly corrected plastic tray designed to hold both decks.
The team has already been using the game during playtesting, and the physical components are getting real-world testing before the final production run.
This kind of hands-on testing is an important step in the development process. It allows the team to identify issues with physical components and packaging before the final products are manufactured at full scale.
A New Fighting Dinosaur Set
The team also revealed packaging for a new fighting dinosaur set.
This smaller set will feature unique packaging and is designed around the idea of putting two dinosaurs together in a classic battle scenario.
It’s an interesting direction for the line because it could open the door to additional themed two-dinosaur sets in the future.
For collectors, these kinds of pairings could be particularly fun because they offer a different way to display and play with the figures compared with purchasing individual dinosaurs.
Cyberzoic C2 Armors & Riders Are Moving Forward
Work is also continuing on Cyberzoic C2 Armors and Riders.
The packaging layouts are now being prepared, and the factory is currently working on the paint samples. The team expects to receive those samples within the next few weeks.
The goal remains to have the new Armors and Riders available before the end of the year.
Development also appears to be moving faster than the previous wave. Since Wave B was the factory’s first time working with the Armors and Riders, that initial experience required additional time. With that experience now in place, the next wave is expected to move more efficiently.
More Beasts of the Mesozoic and Cyberzoic Updates Ahead
