Beasts of the Mesozoic 1/35 Triceratops 2.0 Prototype Gets a WIP Paint Preview
A new Beasts of the Mesozoic Triceratops is currently on the paint desk! Fans can now get an early behind-the-scenes look at the 1/35th scale Triceratops 2.0 prototype as development continues on the upcoming dinosaur figure.
This new prototype is part of the next wave of Beasts of the Mesozoic releases, giving collectors an exciting first look at another dinosaur that will be joining the expanding 1/35 scale collection.
Beasts of the Mesozoic 1/35 Triceratops 2.0
The 1/35 Triceratops 2.0 is currently in the prototype painting stage, meaning the figure is still a work in progress.
At this point in development, the paint application gives us an early glimpse at how the finished figure could look while allowing the team to refine the colors, patterns, and overall appearance before production.
Seeing a figure at this stage is always an exciting part of the Beasts of the Mesozoic development process. Collectors get to follow the figure from prototype sculpt through painting and eventually to the finished production version.
A First Look at the New Triceratops
The WIP photo provide a closer look at the new Triceratops sculpt and its developing paint scheme.
As a work-in-progress prototype, the final colors and details may still change before the figure reaches production. These early images nevertheless provide an excellent preview of what collectors can expect from the updated Triceratops design.
The 1/35 scale is also a great fit for collectors building larger dinosaur displays, allowing multiple species from the Beasts of the Mesozoic line to be displayed together in a consistent scale.
Part of the Upcoming T. rex Wave
The new Triceratops 2.0 is being developed alongside the upcoming T. rex wave, with more information and reveals expected soon.
The team has teased additional figures from the wave, so this Triceratops prototype is just one part of what’s coming.
