These Tyrannosaurs are shaping up to be a great way to test my scale sculpting abilities- they’re so tiny! In case anyone is wondering, the juvenile T-Rex here is being sculpted in castilene.

An update on the Beasts of the Mesozoic: Ceratopsian Series production- the first plastic parts are now being cast to test the new tooling molds. It’ll take some time to cast all of the parts, then prep and assemble them into figures, but the first test shots should be ready in a few weeks!

Today we have the next reveal for the Beasts of the Mesozoic: Tyrannosaur Series- here’s the color design for the much-requested Yutyrannus huali! Colors were inspired by the Steller’s Sea Eagle.

Design work on the packaging for the Beasts of the Mesozoic: Ceratopsian Series Wave 1 continues! Here’s a look at the design for the cross-sell on the back along with a preview of the next package design reveal. And FYI, Wave 1 is still expected to ship in September. 🙂

Ceratopsian Series Wave 1 Production Update: I received photos recently of the progress being made right now on the creation of the metal tooling molds. This is an extensive and amazing process requiring so much precision and planning. I’m expecting to see some first test shot samples next month- can’t wait!
