As much as I love Triceratops, Torosaurus has always eclipsed it in my mind as one of my all time favorite ceratopsian species. The slightly more slender build combined with the uniquely large and impressive crest makes it stand out in a way few ceratopsians do. It carries the same dangerous and dominating presence as its Triceratops cousin, but with an elegance all its own. Because of this, I knew I needed both releases of Torosaurus latus in my collection.
This Fans Choice version will naturally appeal to those who are fans of WWD or who simply prefer a more subtle and grounded color palette compared to the original release. In person, I was very pleased to see beautiful shades of what appears to be orange blended throughout the figure. Much like the original, which shares the same sculpt, this Torosaurus is an absolutely massive beast. The anatomy, paint application, and sheer size make it a standout piece. I am extremely happy with it.
I do have two minor complaints. The first is that, much like Big Blue, attaching the tail was a challenge. The second is that while the included collector card is beautiful, it is a four inch tall card, which is an inconvenient size for storage and sleeving.
Despite these small issues, this Fans Choice Torosaurus latus is a phenomenal addition to the line and a must have for anyone who appreciates this species

This figure is massive to say the least, yet it’s still able to accomplish not only a stunning paint job but also amazing sculpting. Every wrinkle and scale are sculpted perfectly. I just have 2 complaints, firstly, the tail was a challenge to attach, secondly, the joints are so stiff. Almost all of them were difficult to move and I was scared for it to break but in the end it held up just fine. I still have not gotten the knees to move, no matter what. Overall an amazing addition to the collection, just a little stiff in the joints.

I snagged mine about a week ago off of amazon, so sorry creative beast studios, but I’m actually very impressed with this guy! I bought it to display next to the rex 2.0 that’ll be hopefully releasing this fall and I honestly wasn’t expecting it to be as big as it was but that’s a good thing. The colors are really nice, especially taking into consideration that its based off of the WWD torosaurus which has a pretty boring color scheme ,and the sculpt is just fantastic! The only thing I personally see as a downside is the articulation, its very much like a brick but I suppose that’s partially due to this figure being an older release. Another thing, and looking at previous reviews this seems like a common issue, but the tail was absolutely a monstrosity to attach. Even after soaking in hot water for a good 20 minutes and using my blow dryer it was still quite a hassle. Either way though, I absolutely love the sculpt and all of the detailing and I personally prefer this one just a little bit more than the blue toro. I would recommend it to anyone that collects figures of this scale, especially if your planning on grabbing the rex when it drops. I can’t wait to display them next to each other! Overall it was 140 dollars well spent with zero regrets!
