The feather and skin sculpting is amazing, larger than I expected. However the feet are a little hard to swap out and its balance isn’t great. Other than that, it’s a really good figure.

My first figure from this company, beginning a burning obsession.
This is a beautifully sculpted and painted piece, the articulation is exceptional (provided you heat the figure first, warm water works fine). My only gripe is simply that I wish the feet were easier to swap and had holes to slot into the base pegs like the allosaurus does. The lack of those features makes the figure rather difficult to balance in drastic dynamic poses but the stand is more than enough for typical posing.

I love this figure. I had low expectations. I thought it looked good, but didn’t have big plans for it. This figure surprised me. It is much larger than I anticipated, has great articulation, real presence, and is a lot of fun. I did not anticipate this becoming one of my favorites in the line, but it really has.

This is another dino that looks much better in person. I was very on-the-fence about this one for a long while, as many of the pictures online make the scales look completely black. It was only after watching some review videos and seeing it from different angles that I was able to appreciate the greater depth of colour in the design; the dark red of the face fades to a gradient of greys that run down the neck and underbelly, adding a welcome level of variation to the design. Now having it in-person, it looks even better than I thought.
The colour of the eyes and feathering contrast nicely with the darker shade of the scales, and as with all BoTM figures, there’s a great range of articulation. The figure is fairly well-balanced and stable, capable of remaining upright without the stand in certain poses. I’m looking forward to getting the armour for this guy when it comes out as well.
