Although it shares many of the same parts and design elements as the Fire Guard, the Fire Knight improves upon its predecessor in many ways. The forearm armour fits more snuggly and doesn’t fall out as easily, while the hands are able to be popped out and swapped without as much struggle. The figure overall just feels nicer, with a smoother finish to it; I’m guessing this one may have used a different factory or materials to the Fire Guard. The colours are also much more vibrant, befitting of the Knight’s role as a higher-ranking troop.
The one area where I’m let down a little is the customisation options for the figure. While the two different helmets each have a very distinct vibe (I still can’t decide which one is my favourite), the rest of the swappable armour components don’t do much to alter the figure’s silhouette. The forearm guards are identical save for a small bone spike, so swapping between them doesn’t drastically alter the figure’s profile the way changing the Fire Guard’s forearms does. Also unlike the Fire Guard, the Knight has only one set of shoulder armour (which is also somewhat bulky and restrictive of the arm’s movement range). I would have perhaps liked to see a second option for the shoulders so that Knights could be made to look more diverse when army-building.
Despite that minor complaint, it’s still a fantastic figure. There are enough shared elements with the Fire Guard for the Knight to feel like it still very much belongs to the same faction, while the new parts and splashier colours help it stand out from what’s come before.

I just got in my Fire knight today and WOW! This is without a doubt the best 1/18th scale human figure ever made! Really durable, impressive range of articulation and a large spread of accessories and immaculate paint propel this figure beyond other companies 1/18th figures! I cannot recommend this enough! I will absolutely be buying more!
