Beasts of the Mesozoic Acro Wave: Kentrosaurus & Spicomellus Paint Samples

The final two paint sample comparisons for the upcoming Beasts of the Mesozoic Acro wave are here—and these two are some of the spikiest dinosaurs in the assortment!
Kentrosaurus and Spicomellus are the latest figures to receive their factory paint samples, giving us a chance to compare the production colors and details against our own resin prototypes. The factory samples are marked with a green dot in the comparison photos, making it easy to see how the final production versions compare to the original prototypes.
Kentrosaurus Paint Sample
First up is Kentrosaurus, a small stegosaur known for its impressive combination of plates and spikes. While it may not have been one of the largest members of the stegosaur family, Kentrosaurus was certainly well equipped for defense.
The factory paint sample gives us a great look at how the colors and patterns translate from the resin prototype into the production figure. Collectors can compare the two versions side by side and see the details that will carry through to the final Beasts of the Mesozoic release.
Spicomellus Paint Sample
Next up is Spicomellus, another armored dinosaur that brings an especially unusual look to the Acro wave.
With its distinctive spiky armor, Spicomellus is a particularly interesting addition to the Beasts of the Mesozoic lineup. As with Kentrosaurus, the new factory sample lets us compare the production paint application with our original resin prototype.
The green dot identifies the factory paint sample in the comparison images, while the unmarked figure shows our resin prototype.
