The Story Behind the Jungle Saber
During the Dragon Wars on Gaia 2, Earth’s extinct animals were resurrected by human scientists and genetically modified to survive the challenges of their new environment. These creatures became an important part of humanity’s struggle for survival.
In the tropical regions of Gaia 2, humans faced an especially dangerous threat from the Detrovora, highly agile ambush predators capable of blending into the dense jungle foliage. With these creatures developing a taste for human prey, scientists needed a predator capable of matching them in size, strength, and agility.
Their answer was the Smilodon populator.
After numerous attempts, scientists successfully created modified Smilodons with green fur and brown stripes. The unusual coloration helped conceal them from the Detrovora’s visual spectrum, turning the jungle’s predators into prey.
These specially bred Smilodons became known as Jungle Sabers.
Over time, Jungle Sabers became revered throughout human settlements on Gaia 2 and were eventually used as some of the first military mounts. Bred to be much larger than their prehistoric ancestors, they were equipped with armor colored according to their regional settlements.
Some historic beast riders became templates for future generations of human warriors and were cloned again and again for their bravery and cunning in battle.
One of these legendary riders was Zora Kett.
Meet Zora Kett and the Jungle Saber
The new set brings this Cyberzoic history to life with a beautifully detailed 1/12-scale Smilodon and Zora Kett, complete with her weapons and armor.
The Jungle Saber features a striking green-and-brown coloration inspired directly by the Cyberzoic lore. The paintwork transitions from darker tones across the upper body to lighter coloration underneath, creating a surprisingly realistic appearance while maintaining the distinctive science-fiction aesthetic of the Cyberzoic universe.
The sculpt and paintwork were handled with incredible attention to detail, with David Silva and Matt Holtz contributing to the finished coloration and presentation.
The result is a Smilodon that looks like it belongs in the dangerous jungles of Gaia 2.
And with a prehistoric apex predator this large and powerful, it’s easy to imagine just how intimidating a Jungle Saber would have been to the creatures hunting humanity.
A Fully Equipped Cyberzoic Warrior
Zora Kett is just as impressive as her prehistoric companion.
The figure features extensive articulation, including double-jointed knees and hips, disc-swivel ankles, articulated elbows, ball-jointed hands, and a swivel head. The range of motion allows collectors to create a wide variety of dynamic poses.
Her equipment includes:

- Dual daggers and dagger holders
- Multiple armor components
- Forearm armor with integrated blasters
